Selection and Application Procedures
To qualify for enrolment in the Talented Athlete Program at Oxley High School a student may either live in the local drawing area or be selected on merit as a talented sports person.
Conditions of enrolment and continuation in TAP
The criteria for selection in the Talented Athlete Program are:
- Outstanding sporting record
- Motivated to improve sporting ability / coachable positive attitude to training
- A positive attitude towards school and a positive welfare record
- Adherence to the Oxley High Schools TAP Code of Conduct
Successful applicants are required to be available to represent Oxley High School in any North West, New South Wales Combined High Schools, New South Wales All Schools Carnival, game or competition for which she/he is selected.
Students may be interviewed and/or photographed by the media. Oxley High School is proud of the achievements of their students. Frequently their achievements will be celebrated in print and electronic forms of publication. Parents are expected to grant approval for such media appearances.
All TAP students and parents of sport students enrolling at Oxley High School are required to sign a Code of Conduct, which reinforces the conditions of their participation in the Talented Athlete Program.
A condition of an โout-of-areaโ acceptance into the Oxley High School Talented Athletes Program (TAP) is the continued membership and participation in the Talented Athlete Program and, representation of Oxley High School in the CHS Knockout Teams. In the event that a student withdraws or is withdrawn by the school from a Talented Sports Program (for example, non-payment of TAP fees), the student will be expected to withdraw their enrolment from Oxley High School and seek enrolment at their locally zoned school.
The Talented Athletes Applications must be completed and returned to the school or emailed prior to the Testing Day
