NSW public schools offer special religious education and special education in ethics, delivered by approved providers wherever available.
Special Religious Education at Oxley High School
At Oxley High School, Christian SRE is currently offered by Gener8, a combined churches arrangement of approved SRE providers.ย Parents and carers have the choice of enrolling their children in SRE by completing theย SRE Participation Letter.ย If your preferred SRE option is not available, please contact the relevantย approved providerย for NSW public schools.
Students not attending SRE are given supervised alternative meaningful activities such as reading, revision or completing homework.ย
Parents and carers are required to fill out a form with their SRE preferences if they wish to Opt inย using theย SRE Participation Letterย at the time of student enrolment.ย They may notify the school in writing at any time if they wish to change their decision. Students will continue the same arrangement as the previous year, unless a parent/carer has requested a change in writing.
